Hi There Smiley
Here is the solution how to make a "jump start" the HTC phone.
1. Take out the phone cover.
2. Take out the battery, optionally Sim Card and Flash Card.
3. Plug your wall charger from the wall into the phone WITHOUT the battery in and cover.
4. Pop the battery back in and wait until the indicator light is orange.
5. Wait for about 5-10 minutes until your battery charged at least 2-3%
6. Pop the battery back in and close the cover. Optionally Sim Card and Flash Card.
7. Try to turn it on. This should start the phone.
8. So, once you started your phone. Plug your wall charger back into the phone.
9. Wait for until your battery became fully charged.

Thank you so much!!
After I messed with the back pins, phone just ceased to function at all!
After two hours of googleing I've just searched the obvious and I found this post, registered especially to thank you.

Thanks, or I would have gone to bed crying over my phone ^_^

Sorry for the bump if it was an old topic.

Thank you very much for this info.My phone had been experienced the random shutdowns and then just wouldn't turn on. I tried all the other methods to turn on but they all failed. I then sent my device back to HTC, they sent it back unrepaired saying the parts are no longer available for them to repair the phone!!! Then i tried your method.....and voila...it worked!!! Thank you so much!

I had a Desire before this, and because I really liked that phone, and it was very reliable, I went HTC again. After this experience I don't think I will be buying a HTC phone ever again. If their service centre couldn't fix it, yet an unofficial procedure like yours did, it doesnt give me much faith in them. Plus they refused to send me another phone as they said I had activated an LDI, when I know for a fact the phone wasn't water damaged.
