hi everyone,
My HTC  sensation just keeps shutting off, it is about 7 months old, and has no real damage. I will have my phone on, and when i will go to check it, it will just be off. In order to get it back on i need to press and hold the unlock screen/ power button. This has been happening over and over again for 2 days now i have tried taking out the battery and replacing it, as well as the factory reset, my phone says it it currently up to date. Other than the constant turning off, there is no other issues. Please help me, my phone is not under t-moblie warranty.
Thanks

I would un-install each app and test, otherwise my advice is to take it in for repair/exchange.

Mine does the same thing. It doesn't shut itself off completely, but it restarts itself at random. It never bothered me much before, but recently it did it in the middle of a phone call. I've seen the advice before to uninstall every app then test. But I have a question regarding that test, wouldn't that take about five years to complete? My phone doesn't restart all the time, I might notice it do that about once a week. If I take off every app, it might take a couple weeks before I realize if the problem has been fixed or not. Then as I add another app, it would take another couple weeks and so on.

The easiest way to test if it's the apps that you have installed that are causing the problems you are having is,

put your phone in SAFE MODE

RE: random restarts

This has been discussed many times here and at other forums. For some reason, this issue only affects some phones. Many users are able to correct this. Use the forum search for suggestions.

Restarting the phone every couple days (as recommended by HTC) should correct this. It is my opinion that the HTC Sense UI is either buggy, is shutting down due to cache/memory issues, or another app is conflicting.
