Ive read vicw's post, and a lot of others on this site, and on others. So I've done my research

I have a sensation that has a blank screen.
The buttons on bottom light up, and theres a back-light, but the screens black/blank.
Basically, i can see it for a split second if i leave it locked for a little while, but sometimes that doesn't even happen. But then goes instantly blank.

I've tried the hard reset using the down volume button, but i can't exactly see if I'm doing it right...but I've read a step by step guide, and I'm pretty sure i did it. Once i did that, the phone never reset from my knowledge, the screen didn't go off, so I'm assuming it didn't reset.

This was a craigslist phone, i tried telling my girlfriend to check it more before she left. We could see the screen at first, but later on in the day after she was getting apps that were on her old phone it went out. I know, it could be the apps, but she has these apps already on her mytouch4g. So I'm pretty sure its not the apps. And,we've already checked for water damage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. She needs it for work tomorrow.

Thanks,
chris

Hi adellachris,

Did the phone ever work since you've had it? The seller could have accidentally bricked it, then sold it to you.

Have you removed/reinstalled the battery... removed/reinstalled the SIM?

Hopefully someone will have a fix, but  I'm afraid the only suggestion I have is to send it to a repair service.  That's the chance you take buying from unaccountable sources.

yes, it worked for several hours before it started doing this.

I've taken out the battery and sim, put them both back in a few times. its definitely not going to fixed with a battery pull thats for sure.

yeah, it was just half the price. it was supposably "still in box". But we found a small scratch on the back, meaning it was used. I took a look at it before we left, it seemed fine, but yeah, this is why i don't buy used things.

Yeah pull battery. And reinsert then at the same time hold power button and while holding power down hold the volume. Down key it should boot you into bootloader and then you can get into recovery.

my htc sensation recently got water damaged, however I dried it out and it was working fine. the next day I woke up and the screen was blank but the bottom was lighting up then after a few minutes it comes back on, it also does this when someone is trying to ring me.
I held the power button and volume button down and it said battery voltage is too low please change battery. so i did this and it is still not working, anyone know what i should do?
