Too many to list but I will say do NOT use any kind of task managers.  They do more harm than good.

What do you mean by "they do more harm than good?"  I saw good reviews for Advanced Task Killer and planned on installing that app.

Found the answer to my own question:

Here are the ones I like so far

Pandora- make your own radio stations

Speed Test- just curious on speeds sometimes

Speaking Pad- Phone says what you type (love to type "have you ever had sex with a droid" my wife hates it

MyWeather- best radar I've found so far. Not the best for inputing locations though. You have to do it on the map. Can't get an enter after I put in a zipcode

Andoku- best Sudoku app I've found

aTilt 3D labyrinth or Labytinth Lite- toss up between the two

Directv- for telling you dvr to record something from your phone

Shazam- identifies what song is playning from a sample

The next two were recommended by the guys at BBuy and I do support their views if you don't that's fine too

Power Manager v1.6.2- helps conserve you battery in many ways including shutting down 3G when not in use and automatically turning it on when needed for data

Task Manager v210- I know I know DON'T KILL APPS UNTIL THEY'RE READY TO BE KILLED!!!!! I really don't care if Footprints, Flickr, Peep, or any other stupid ass app are ready to close or not. They need to shut down! You can decide which ones to ignore also, so you don't kill EVERYTHING

Have you noticed a difference with power manager?

I have been draining my bat a lot but i have been using it a lot like it has not lasted a full day haha thats ok I am using it a lot.

I think when I just use it how I normally used my old phone it will hold a good charge.

Not sure, I put them on at the time I purchased the phone. So I have no baseline.....

in regards to task killers.  I was told by my local sprint agent not to download these because the processor is so fast on the inspire, that this will actually do more harm then good...

The processor is not the problem, its the battery. Android will close apps if the processor becomes low, but any apps open that are using internet or gps, even running in the background, will use up your battery. I accidentally left sprint nav open in the background and the battery went from half full to nothing in 3 hours. This is actually worse on the Sensation cause the processor is so fast you can have tons of apps open at the same time before android has to shut one down

This is MY list of the MUST-HAVE apps... Having them will make your experience on your Sensation THAT much better!

I'll list what they all do. (Alphabetical order)

ASTRO File Manager: or AndroZip (They both function the same)

Doesn't get too complicated here. It's your door to the internals of your Sensation and the micro-sd card without having to connect to your computer.

Has functions like copying, pasting, deleting, opening, moving, etc.! (basically what you can do on your computer)

Engadget

That's a given. Right? Get your latest tech news!

Fring

Another given. Works better than Qik and supports Skype video calls! Why not?

LED Light OR LED Desire Light

1st one) Ability to use the dual LEDs as flashlight, use for light during video recording. Has a widget for fast toggling.

2nd one) Same ability, but you can intensify the LED power (and it gets VERY bright)
The down side? No toggle widget, but will stay on until you switch it off.
UPDATE: No down side, now has a toggling widget!

Music Wizard

FREE Music downloads! Updated very frequently; saves music to SD card. Enough Said.

Pandora

Why not? Its random music, and it's free. No need to download, just streams. Very popular.

ShootMe

For troubleshooting and showing proof. Give your phone a good shaking and a screenshot is taken. No root required for Sensation!

OPTIONALS (STILL VERY USEFUL)

Shazam

IDs music; gives you author and title of music that may be playing on the radio or in your surroundings. Good for when you cant remember the name of a particular song.

Speed Test (Ookla)

See how fast your internet connection on your Sensation is. Simple as that. Could be helpful for statistical uses.

EDIT: Oops...forgot to search. Sorry, I fail.

I've been trying to share a link to my Facebook, but it keeps telling me that I have too many windows open, but I don't have anything else going, does the task killer help me find what it is that I need to close.?

Airplane Mode Wi-Fi: A free app that enables wifi when phone is in Airplane Mode

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't get why you would need such an application? If you want your phone in airplane mode, you shouldn't be using WiFi anyways. If you want to use WiFi but not the phone (why have a phone) then just turn off your ringer and mobile data (easy to do through settings on the Sensation)

besides, I have many friends who are Pilots. None of them shut off their phones when they're flying (except maybe to turn off the ringers to save from distractions). From what I have been told, the reason airlines want you to turn off your phone/electrical equipment is not because of the possibility of interference, but because they want your full attention during take off and landing.
