Hi everyone!

I am trying to log in to htc sense from my device as it tells me on the website,
" tap the Setup icon in the All apps screen and sign in when you see the HTC Sense screen."
and I have been through all the steps several times but an "htc sense" screen never comes up.
... + my comp never recognises the phone when I plug it in. I have the phone set to sync with comp. but still nothing. Charges nicely though, but I'd like to register so I can make the most from the device.

any advice is welcome, the working ones even more!! Smiley

thanks guys!

I had problems connecting to the computer as well, and while chatting with HTC-support I changed the USB-port, and guess what... Shocked USB3 did not work, USB2 did. Strange, but that was all, and I was connected to HTC Synk.
About connecting to HTCsence.com, I had problems too. The "flash-wheel" kept turning  Angry, but thats it. But again, after a while, and lots of waiting, I came trough, and since that it has'nt been any problem.
Seems like this brilliant phone needs some time to understand itself......

Good luck

You have to sign in from HTCHub.  The instructions on the htcsense website are wrong.

They have been having a few issues with sense however all is fixed now. Make sure you are using the same email address and password that you log into HTC HUB,

1) go to settings  2)accounts & sync  3) select htc sense you should have a green circle symbol next to it, 4) ensure all 3 lines have a tick in them, and ensure update schedule to be set as : as items change (push)

now trying logging into sense, might take awhile, for your first location.

IF that does not fix your issue, then you will have to ensure your phone is sync and backed up and do a factory reset : which you can do by :

Settings, Sd & phone storage, at the bottom select factory data reset. I must warn you though please ensure your phone is sync and backed up before doing so. Also if you have any third party apps installed not from market place write down the names as i found when you turn you phone back and and sync it does not save your third party apps.

Let us know how you get on.

hi Smiley  i ended up here via a google search for the same problem...i figured it out and thought i'd post in case anyone else was having the same problem

i had a htcsense account linked to my last phone so i had to first cancel my htcsense account
>log in at htcsense.com >account >delete account

then i went through the sign up process again but the website couldn't communicate with my phone..i tried to log in to htcsense via HTC Hub and HTC Likes but it kept giving me a 'server error, please try again later'

>settings >accounts and sync >htcsense >remove account
>settings >accounts and sync >add account

my problem was that on the website i had included my country code but on my phone i hadn't...once both had the same info, BINGO

Thank you for that feedback.  Recreating my account fixed similar problems for me.
BINGO for me too.
